Julia Durbin Day Nursery in Headington, Oxford celebrated a fun filled, Easter ‘eggstravaganza’ this year.
The children welcomed 10 unhatched eggs into the nursery and watched them excitedly hatch and grow into cute, fluffy chicks. They then extended their learning by drawing what they had seen and making their very own ‘chick’ creations.
Easter egg hunts, a party tea and an Easter raffle were also held in support of the disabled children’s charity, Children Today. The culmination of the Easter celebrations was the Easter Bonnet Parade where children proudly displayed their fantastic hat creations.
Manger at the Outstanding-rated Day Nursery, Emma Wallbridge said:
“Easter is lots of fun at Julia Durbin Day Nursery and the children have had a great time engaging in an array of themed activities. The children have worked hard on creating bonnets especially for the parade this week and it was great to see them all on display.”
