To mark Chinese New Year (the year of the Rooster) children at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery in Stockton lookied at the culture and food of China.
They enjoyed making dragons and drums, as well as using chopsticks to pick up coloured blocks, which helps to develop their hand eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Perhaps, best of all though, they loved trying and tucking in to some lovely Chinese food.
Little Ladybirds’ Deputy Manager Sharon Harrison said: “As part of their development, it’s important the children understand and embrace different cultures and the Chinse New Year gave us the perfect opportunity to introduce the children to Chinese culture.
“They really enjoyed the different activities we put on for them, particularly eating the food!”
