Meadow View Day Nursery in Westbury Lane, Newport Pagnell has been awash with pinks and reds as the children celebrate love and friendship in time for Valentine’s Day.
Children at this Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery have been getting creative with the crafting of Valentine’s cards for their mummies and daddies alongside number of themed activities. There have been sensory experiences for younger children with sparkly red ice play and love heart printing. The children have also enjoyed chocolate dipped strawberries as a special treat to mark the occasion.
It’s not only the children having all the fun at Meadow View. Employees have received Valentine’s gifts as well as joining parents in a special ‘Pamper Evening’. This included two treatments, a glass of bubbly and a goody box. All proceeds raised will go to the children’s charity Children Today.
Nursery Manager Elkie Taylor said: “The promotion of friendship is something that we encourage throughout a child’s journey with us at Meadow View. Valentine’s celebrations are an ideal opportunity to explore the importance of friendship further, in a meaningful way. We know parents value the lovely handcrafted cards created for them and are a great gift at this time of year.”
Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment and services for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK. From 1st November 2016, following a company-wide vote, Childbase is delighted to be supporting Children Today.
