National Toothache Day (9 February) provided the perfect opportunity for the children at Kiddi Caru Wellingborough to brush up on their teeth cleaning know how.
Using toothbrushes and toothpaste donated by the local dentist, the nursery’s staff talked to the children about why it’s so important to brush properly and regularly, to avoid problems including the dreaded toothache. The children were able to try brushing their teeth themselves too, and discussed what kinds of foods and drinks were good or bad for teeth and gums.
Emma Whitworth, Nursery Manager, said: “It’s very important for little ones to get into good habits when it comes to looking after their teeth and gums. The toothbrush and toothpaste kindly donated were perfect for demonstrating how to brush and make the subject more fun and engaging.”
