Kiddi Caru Colchester enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rooster this week.
The children flexed their creative muscles and made a fantastic Chinese dragon and made up their own dragon dance. They made vegetable spring rolls and lanterns and also did lots of messy play with noodles and rice.
Laura Evans, Nursery Manager, said: “We love to celebrate lots of diverse festivals from all over the world as part of our inclusive activities and also so that children learn to embrace lots of different cultures. Chinese New Year is a fabulous festival and one that we look forward to every year. It is one of the most visually stunning festivals and the dragon the children made with help from the staff was amazing.”
