Kiddi Caru decked the halls for Home-Start UK’s Snowflake Appeal for the third year in December, raising in excess of £2,000 for this very worthy cause.
All of the company’s day nurseries held Winter Wonderland Grottos, where children could visit Father Christmas free of charge. During their visit parents were welcome to make a donation to the Snowflake Appeal.
Kiddi Caru has been raising funds for Home-Start UK since 2014, through its Winter Wonderland events, family fun days and also fundraising challenges undertaken by its head office staff.
Home-Start helps parents all over the UK to build better lives for their children. The organisation has volunteers based at nearly 300 projects nationwide, who provide support and friendship to more than 32,000 families every year. The money that Kiddi Caru has raised as a company since 2014 has enabled Home-Start to train more volunteers and therefore help more families in need.
Caron Moseley, Marketing Manager at Kiddi Caru, said: “We are so pleased to have raised so much for the Snowflake Appeal through our Winter Wonderland grottos. The nurseries are very committed to supporting Home-Start UK and they put a lot of work into organising the grottos and also arranging other fundraising activities throughout December.
“We’re looking forward to raising more money for the charity this year with our summer fun days and the annual head office team fundraiser - following our success in last year’s Race the Sun in the Brecon Beacons, we’ve decided to take on Race The Sun in the Isle of Wight in July.”
