Lime Grove children post letters to Father Christmas

Lime Grove Day Nursery in Hemel Hempstead has been gearing up for the festive season with lots of fun filled, seasonal activities.

One activity which has proved particularly popular with children and parents alike are letters to Father Christmas. Children are able to write a letter to the man in the bright, red suit and send them by way of the special post box in the nursery. For a charity donation to Children Today, replies from ‘Father Christmas’ are then posted to the children’s address with glitter and a chocolate coin along with a seasonal stamp. Siblings can also take part in this festive activity.

Nursery Manager Charlotte Lucas explains: "Christmas is a magical time for young children and at Lime Grove; we aim to sprinkle some of our own sparkle. The nursery is packed full of Christmas themed activities during this season which are both fun and informative for children.

"We get busy cooking and creating festive artwork as well as remembering those in need though our charity work which is particularly poignant at this time of year."

Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment and services for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK. From 1 November 2016, following a company-wide vote, Childbase is delighted to be supporting Children Today.
