Children at Bright Horizons Tiny Toes Nursery in Hemel Hempstead have been raising money for the organisation’s foundation through their artwork.
The children created their own canvas in order to produce their work, which was then sold off to the parents in aid of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. So far, a total of £60 has been raised.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed creating their own pieces of art to go towards the foundation,” said Rosemary Quint, nursery manager. “We were all delighted to play our part in raising money for a cause that is obviously close to our hearts.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
