On the week of 14 to 18 November, Playtime Nurseries took part in the Children in Need fundraising appeal.
All three of their nurseries did different things to raise money. Playtime Shepperton held sponsored crawls, runs, jumps and slides and then had a cake sale on Friday 18 November.
The Surrey Advertiser provided a photographer on Friday 18 called Grahame Larter. He took a great photo of the children in the ball pit with Nelly and Surrey Advertiser wrote an article about the fundraising efforts of local nurseries in the edition dated Friday 25 November 2016 (Page 2).
The snippet reads as follows:
Playtime Nursery, based at Miles House in Govett Avenue, Shepperton, joined in the fun with a week of events for children and staff.
Nursery Manager, Michelle Jerray - Silver said they ran activities including sponsored crawls for the little ones and sponsored bouncing, face painting and fancy dress.
"On Friday we wore pyjamas for the day," she said. "The children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it. As we work with children it is a charity close to us.
"Children in Need is an important charity."
Their fundraising total is yet to be announced but it is thought the nursery raised around £200.
They can now announce that Playtime Shepperton raised a total of £240.61!!
They say thank you to everyone who contributed to such a great cause.
