A local nursery is hosting a free bonfire-themed Family Fun Day to celebrate the completion of its newly refurbished playrooms and adventure playground.
The Family Fun Day will take place at Cherubs Private Day Nursery from 11am to 1pm on Saturday 5 November.
The event will be held in Cherubs Private Day Nursery’s newly refurbished play area, which is set within an acre of grassy gardens. Children will be free to explore tunnels, a Secret Garden, a willow walkway, slides, a tree house, swings, a water wall, a rope-bridge, a vegetable patch, a bug hotel, a mud kitchen and a giant reading chair.
Entry is free and all are welcome to the event, which will see children taking part in lots of fun firework-themed activities including a woodland scavenger hunt, outdoor splatter painting and pipe cleaner firework art. There will also be party finger food and some hot drinks for any grown-ups attending.
Cherubs Nursery Manager Samantha Malan said: “Cherubs has been a part of the community for 22 years and a number of the staff, myself included, have been at the nursery for ten years or more. Children have always enjoyed our large outdoor play area over the years but now the refurbishment is complete they absolutely love it.
“The Cherubs children get to play in the adventure garden every day, so we wanted to give all the children in our community the chance to have fun exploring it too.
“We’re looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new families from the area, in what promises to be a fun-filled day!”
