Children and staff at Bright horizons Oxford Business Park Day Nursery have dressed up to raise £200 for the organisation’s foundation.
The children and staff dressed up as their favourite film or book character and invited the children’s families along to the nursery for a raffle and guess the weight of the cake competition. All the proceeds will go towards the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
“We were delighted to play our small part in raising money for the foundation, a cause obviously very close to our hearts,” said Nursery Manager Jayne Andrews. “Everyone had a great time dressing up as their favourite characters.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
