Toad Hall Ripley Nursery’s recent Ofsted inspection has resulted in a Good rating for the nursery, based in Ripley C of E school.
After investing a huge amount of effort over the last six months, the nursery staff and management are delighted that the nursery is now a Good nursery.
Ofsted remarked about the quality of care: “The management team has made significant steps to strengthen self-evaluation, staff performance and teaching.”
In addition, Ofsted highly rated the staff team and their quality of teaching, learning and assessment: “Staff have undergone extensive training, coaching and support to help raise their skills and knowledge which has improved outcomes for children. Assessment of children’s learning is precise and teaching is consistently good.”
Ofsted added comments about the quality of the teaching: “Staff know their key children well, they observe them routinely to identify their capabilities and next steps in learning. Children enjoy following their own ideas and creatively explore the environment. Staff interact well with children and effectively encourage children’s listening skills.”
Toad Hall Ripley's Nursery Manager, Georgia Hannan, added: “It is wonderful that our combined efforts have been recognised by Ofsted. The entire nursery staff are passionate about providing excellent childcare here at Ripley Nursery and we are proud to be able to show Ofsted the high quality that we deliver every day for the children.”
