Ladbroke Grove children study dinosaur origins

Children at Bright Horizons Ladbroke Grove Day Nursery in Notting Hill, London have been studying the origins of dinosaurs.

In an activity part of the Green Gardeners programme, the children firstly dug up remains from the nursery garden to see what they could discover.

They then watched a short film from the Natural History Museum on dinosaurs and how they were originally found.

Afterwards, the children created a fossil museum in the art studio of their favourite dinosaur remains, using paint and cotton buds.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed digging in the garden and were excited to discover what they could find,” said Nursery Manager Beverley Smith.

“Our Green Gardeners programme aims to give them the opportunity to interact with the natural world around them and get a better feel for it.”
