Staff and children at Kiddi Caru’s day nursery in Writtle have been celebrating after discovering that one of its nursery practitioner’s, Julie Galley, is one of just three finalists to be shortlisted for a prestigious NDNA award.
The NDNA Nursery Awards recognise the very best care providers within the day nursery industry nationwide and are the only nursery awards voted for by parents. Julie has been shortlisted for a Practitioner of the Year Award after receiving a huge number of nominations from parents, both of children she looks after now and those she has cared for in the past.
Julie has worked at Kiddi Caru’s Writtle day nursery since 2001. As well as working tirelessly to foster relationships with parents, she has expert knowledge of the EYFS and how to enhance children’s learning and development through fun and well-planned activities that are based on their individual interests and needs.
Jennie Gregory, Nursery Manager, said: “For this award the NDNA looks for an outstanding nursery practitioner who has shown true dedication and commitment to caring for children, and Julie would certainly be a very worthy winner. She truly is an inspirational woman and we are so lucky to work alongside her. I am not in the least surprised that she had so many nominations from parents and co-workers – the children receive such a high standard of care and education from Julie and both them and their parents talk about her with such fondness even long after they have left us to go to school.”
