Kiddi Caru’s day nursery in Chelmsford will be opening its doors to parents on Saturday 16th April between 10.30am and 1.00pm, and inviting them to experience the nursery’s varied activities first hand.
While it is usually the children who get to have all the fun, parents are being invited in to see what happens behind the scenes at the nursery on a normal day and join in. With the arrival of spring the nursery staff have decided to put the emphasis on the great outdoors, so in the morning families will have the opportunity to make picnic foods together – including sandwiches, fruit kebabs and cakes – then at lunch time they will be able to enjoy their picnic lunch in the nursery’s stunning garden area.
In addition, there will be a bug hunt for children to take part in and also lots of planting of shrubs and flowers, so they can enjoy learning all about gardening while enjoying the fresh air.
Anna Yeates, Nursery Manager, said: “Our door is always open to parents but we like to have special days throughout the year when they can come in and get a real feel for what their child does day to day here. Our garden is a fabulous resource, which has been designed to offer the children in our care a stimulating, outdoor learning environment for all year round use. With the weather warming up we thought it would be the perfect location in which to celebrate the arrival of spring with both our existing and prospective parents.”
