Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Taunton enjoyed celebrating Holi today.
Holi is a spring festival in Nepal and India, also known as the festival of colours. The children enjoyed playing with coloured powder paints and creating lots of visually exciting images as part of the celebrations. The nursery also had great fun holding a colour run in their garden!
Julia Lofthouse, Nursery Manager, said: “It’s really important that children understand and appreciate lots of different and diverse cultures. We have children at our nursery from lots of different countries and we really enjoy learning about their special days and the traditions that are associated with them. We always look forward to Holi as it is such a colourful celebration and the children always create such wonderful displays.”
