Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Taunton are all getting ready to Shimmy with Timmy in order to raise funds for Sports Relief this year.
On Friday 18th March the nursery will be holding its very own Shimmy with Timmy discos with staff and children dressing up in their favourite dancing outfits and getting ready to ‘Wooltze’ and Lamb-bada the day away. As part of the fun activities the children will also be enjoying a tea party with their friends.
Sports Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of sporty activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Julia Lofthouse, Nursery Manager, said: “Timmy is one of the children’s favourite characters and incorporating him into our fund raising event is a brilliant idea and I hope that we are able to raise lots of money for this worthwhile charity.”
