‘Applaws’ for Kiddi Caru Bedford’s fund raising

Children, parents and staff from Kiddi Caru’s Bedford day nursery worked together in order to raise funds on behalf of the Hula Animal Rescue Centre.

Hula (Home for Unwanted and Lost Animals) initially founded at a time when there were no animal rescue centres in Bedfordshire aims to relieve the suffering and distress of animals by providing refuge and care to unwanted domestic animals until suitable permanent adoptions can be found. Hula also provides help and advice to pet and animal owners or their families who are unable to cope due to a change in their circumstances.

The nursery created a collection point for pet food and also undertook fundraising activities to help raise money for Hula. A combined donation of £230 and pet food was made by Kiddi Caru and One Stop Convenience Stores.

Hannah Buckley, Nursery Manager, explained: “Hula is a fantastic local charity that has and continues to work hard to make animals lives better. The parents and children really got involved and it was fantastic to be able to make this donation.”
