Children meet real life superheroes

Children at Bright Horizons Wembley Nursery had some special visitors last week when their local fire brigade paid them a visit to talk to them about their job.

The visit offered the children a fantastic opportunity to talk to the firefighters about fire safety and their role in the community. The officer then took the children outside to show them their uniform and the fire engine, and then to the children’s delight they asked if they would like to spray the hose across the car park.

Deputy Manager, Alison Seaholme, said: “It’s so important for children to learn in a fun but educational way about danger of fire and the role our fire service play. We all had a great time and the children have already been sharing safety tips with their parents.”
