Children at a day nursery on the outskirts of Darlington have given a different meaning to the term ‘little monsters’.
Children who attend High Bank Day Nursery, which is situated in Stapleton, near Darlington, celebrated Halloween by coming dressed as all manner of ghoulish characters.
There were plenty of littles witches, bats and monsters and some of the activities included making ghostly biscuits and apple fangs.
High Bank Day Nursery Manager Hayley Grainger said: “The children and staff really enjoyed dressing up and helping to make the nursery a spooky place.
“As part of our preparations we have explained to the children why we celebrate Halloween so whilst it is very much about having fun, there is an educational element to activities like this.”
