Bright Horizons is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for three awards at the 2015 National Nursery Management Today (NMT) Awards.
The National NMT Awards are the sector’s premier annual event, recognising the excellent practice, innovation and success of those within the Early Years sector.
Bright Horizons has been selected as a finalist for Nursery Website of the Year, Nursery Apprentice of the Year and Nursery Operations Director/Regional Manager of the Year awards. The Nursery Website Award recognises an outstanding digital platform created by an Early Years provider which delivers a positive, innovative and interactive experience to existing and potential parents. Bright Horizons’ nomination is in recognition for their website [www.brighthorizons.co.uk] which provides a hub of resources, rich with advice and information from their expert Early Years team, exciting nursery recipes and rhymes, and inspiring blog posts and videos.
In addition, Simone Carter has been shortlisted for Nursery Operations/Regional Director of the Year and Wayne Gregory has been shortlisted for Nursery Apprentice of the Year. These awards recognise those special individuals whose commitment and dedication throughout their career is outstanding.
Simone Carter, Senior Operations Director at Bright Horizons, leads more than 50 nurseries and is instrumental in creating and spearheading a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across her division. Simone’s division has gone from strength to strength, welcoming new families and colleagues as the organisation has grown, and this is a consequence of her passion for each and every colleague, family and child.
Wayne Gregory, Nursery Apprentice at Bright Horizons Jack Straws Lane in Oxford, joined Bright Horizons through the Early Years Apprenticeship Programme and has already completed his Level 2 childcare qualification. Wayne is currently finishing his Early Years Educator and Level 3 Forest School qualification too and has also taken on additional responsibilities, including the role of ICT champion and delivering the nursery’s World Class Welcome programme for new team members.
The annual awards evening will take place on Saturday 28 November 2015 at the Hilton London Metropole.
Lydia Green, General Manager at Bright Horizons, said, “To be shortlisted for not just one but three awards is fantastic. I’m incredibly proud of our colleagues’ ability to encourage, inspire and support our children, families and colleagues and the awards provide a fantastic opportunity and platform on which to highlight the contributions they make to the Early Years sector.”
