Kiddi Caru’s Torquay day nursery is opening its doors to existing and prospective parents on Saturday 10th October from 10.30 until 1.00pm inviting them to experience the nursery’s varied activities – including yoga, French and sing and sign – first hand.
While it is usually the children who get to have all the fun, parents are being invited in to see what happens behind the scenes at the nursery on a normal day and join in, and there are plenty of activities for them to choose from.
For the under 2’s there will be treasure baskets, sensory play as well as cooking activities.
The over 2’s will be able to enjoy sing and sign, French and sustained shared thinking.
All children will also be able to enjoy outdoor play with a number of different planning activities.
In addition meals of chickpea and mushroom risotto with summer fruit cheese cake for dessert all freshly prepared by Kiddi Caru’s on site chef will be provided.
Helen Churchill, Nursery Manager, said: “Our door is always open to parents but we like to have special days throughout the year when they can come in and get a real feel for what their child does day to day here. It’s difficult when you are so busy and sometimes literally just have time to drop your child off and go to work – their life can become a bit of a mystery. Our Experience Days give parents an insight into our typical day so that they can then discuss different activities with their child at home and feel more included.”
