The sun was shinning for our Family fun day at Positive Steps in Shellingford on Saturday. We had a wonderful day with lots of fun things going on for all the local children and families. The event was run in aid of help for heroes so we had a military theme to the day. The children made some fantastic camouflage hats and then concurred our military style assault course in which the children stepped in and out of the tyres, crawled under the big net ran through the hay trench and balanced on the beams. The children all did a fantastic job and completed the course.
We also had lots of visitors come to run stalls at the event including children's toys, jewellery, phoenix cards, sand art and many more. It was lovely to have so many members of the local community come and join us and there certainly had some lovely products and businesses.
Fiona our cook did a wonderful BBQ for us and everyone seemed to enjoy a burger or sausage in a bun followed by an ice-cream cone with sauce and sprinkles.
We even had a fantastic military style bouncy castle which stole the show and the children (and parents) thoroughly enjoyed bouncing on it.
