The children at Kiddi Caru’s Whiteley day nursery have been developing their interest in all things musical, from using saucepans as drums to learning lots of songs and rhymes.
Creating different sounds and rhythms with both every day objects and actual musical instruments, the children have explored their creative sides to the max. They have even painted to music and made their own sound shakers.
Lisa Roper, Business Manager, said: “The nursery staff noticed how much the children enjoyed making sounds with saucepans and wooden spoons so decided to help them create some musical pieces of their own. Activities like this are wonderful for children as not only does it give them the freedom to make any sound and rhythm they like, but also it helps them to learn to work together to produce different combinations of notes to form their own unique pieces of music.”
