The children at Kiddi Caru’s Basingstoke day nursery played fashion designers recently, tie-dying t-shirts then putting on a fashion show to model their creations.
The children talked about all the different colours, chose which ones they were going to use for their t-shirt and then were helped through the tie-dye process by the nursery’s staff. They were amazed by the patterns they could create and the way the colours mixed together. When they had finished they wore their completed t-shirts to show them off to their friends.
Suzanne Chilvers, Nursery Manager, said: “This is a great activity for children because it helps them to develop their creative skills and also, at the end of the process, there’s the surprise of seeing how well the colours and tie-dye effect have worked.”
