Jacky, Nursery Assistant at Bright Horizons Mansion House, has been shortlisted for the Newcomer of the Year Award, at the 2015 Nursery World Awards.
The Nursery World Awards are one of the sector’s most prestigious events, highlighting dedicated professionals, inspiring work and outstanding practices of those in the Early Years sector across the UK.
The Newcomer of the Year Award recognises early years practitioners who are new to the sector, with less than one year’s experience, but have already made a great difference to children, families and colleagues.
Jacky, who joined Bright Horizons in September 2014 through the Early Years Apprenticeship Programme, immediately excelled and has already been welcomed into the nursery as a permanent member of the team. In her nomination, Jacky is recognised as someone new to the sector who already possesses a great eagerness to learn and develop, and to provide the greatest opportunities for children in the early years.
The annual awards evening will take place on Saturday 26 September 2015 at The Brewery, London.
Louisa Devonport, Specialist Regional Assessor at Bright Horizons, said, “I am delighted that Jacky has been nominated for this award. When I first met with Jacky, she demonstrated a unique passion for childcare and has developed in such a short space of time and at such a young age. I’m very excited about Jacky’s career and I have no doubt she will grow and develop into an exceptional early years professional.”
