Kiddi Caru's Jade Nominated for Apprentice Of The Year

The team at Kiddi Caru’s Whiteley day nursery are celebrating after discovering that Jade Draper, an apprentice at the nursery, has been nominated for an Apprentice of the Year award by Fareham College.

Jade has been at the nursery for eight months, where she chose to complete her Level 3 Diploma in Childcare Early Years Education after completed Level 2 as a full time student at Fareham College. Her nomination was a result of the commitment Jade shows to her work and studies, her excellent attendance levels and the fact that she is a fantastic team player.

Cara Maunsell, Account Manager within Fareham College’s Business Development Department, said: “Jade is a wonderful apprentice for a number of reasons. She is obviously an invaluable member of the nursery team and is keen to take on new responsibilities and adapt to work with all age groups. She works incredibly hard and in addition to contributing well in class she is always on hand to assist her classmates. She definitely has a very bright future ahead of her.”

Lisa Roper, Business Manager, added: “We have a ‘grow your own’ philosophy at Kiddi Caru and Jade is an excellent example of this approach. The staff here were quickly impressed with Jade’s work, her enthusiasm and commitment and very soon after starting her apprenticeship she was very much a part of the team. She has an obvious talent and passion for working with and nurturing children – so much so that we even offered her a full time job before she finished her apprenticeship! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Jade now goes on the win the Apprentice of the Year award.”
