Children, staff and parents at Kiddi Caru’s Taunton day nursery are all enjoying their new look nursery after the company invested in a recent programme of refurbishment.
Three smaller rooms have been removed and two larger rooms created for the 3-5 year olds. The rooms can be opened into one large space to help facilitate free-flow play and learning throughout. This has created a larger and more resourceful learning environment for the children and mimics the school environment.
Double doors have been added to allow access to the nursery’s sheltered balcony area which allows the children to get fresh air even if the weather isn’t suitable for outside play.
The rooms have been redecorated in a lovely neutral colour scheme creating the perfect background to display all of the children’s artwork. New furniture has been installed making the rooms lighter and brighter to give the children fabulous new learning spaces.
Claire Blenkinsop, Nursery Manager, said: “At Kiddi Caru we strive to constantly improve the nursery care that we provide for our families and investing in the fabric of the nursery is a part of that. Opening up these rooms for our older children gives them a much better space in which to explore and learn. This free-flow environment also helps us to prepare the children for when they start their next stage of learning at primary school.”
