Kiddi Caru’s Torquay day nursery is opening its doors to existing and prospective parents on Saturday 14th March from 10.30 until 1.00pm inviting them to experience the nursery’s varied activities – including sensory play, yoga and cookery– first hand.
While it is usually the children who get to have all the fun, parents are being invited in to see what happens behind the scenes at the nursery on a normal day and join in, and there are plenty of activities for them to choose from.
For the under 2’s there will be treasure baskets, yoga, sensory and role play as well as story time and song bags.
The over 2’s will be able to enjoy sensory time, sing and sign, phonics and literacy activities, mark making and cookery.
All children will also be able to enjoy outdoor play with music and movement, sand and water play and arts and crafts activities.
In addition meals of Lasagne and Garlic Bread followed by Bread and Butter Pudding with Cream freshly prepared by Kiddi Caru’s on site chef will be provided.
David Lord, Nursery Manager, said: “Our door is always open to parents but we like to have special days throughout the year when they can come in and get a real feel for what their child does day to day here. It’s difficult when you are so busy and sometimes literally just have time to drop your child off and go to work – their life can become a bit of a mystery. Our Experience Days give parents an insight into our typical day so that they can then discuss different activities with their child at home and feel more included.”
