Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Taunton day nursery are all Aping Around for Red Nose Day this year.
On Friday 13th March with help of new children’s picture book the Queen’s Orang-utan from David Walliams, the nursery will be trying to raise as much money as they can for the charity.
Red Nose Day is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of fun activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
On the day the children and staff will be dressing up as jungle animals or in red and enjoying jungle animal face painting.
There will be a Mother’s Day tea party with a difference – the theme will be animal boogie. Outdoors the children will be walking through the jungle on an animal hunt while inside the nursery’s balcony will be transformed into a jungle and tree house.
Claire Blenkinsop, Nursery Manager, said: “The children all love Red Nose Day and having fun so the theme of Aping Around is absolutely perfect! We are really looking forward to having a fantastic day and being able to raise lots of money in the process for this worthwhile charity.”
