Peterborough Kiddi Caru cay nursery celebrates world book day

Staff and children at Kiddi Caru’s Peterborough day nursery celebrated World Book Day in style.

Tremendous fun was had by all when the children and the nursery teams dressed up as characters from their favourite storybooks and there was also a visit from the library bus.

As well as enjoying a dressing up day, the children also relished listening to a whole host of stories read by Deputy Manager, Ashleigh Kaye in the ‘Story Corner’ in the nursery.

Emma Auston, nursery manager, said: “It’s so important to encourage children’s interest in reading and story telling at an early age. It really does help the children to develop their skills and often encourages a life long interest in and enjoyment of reading. World Book Day is a great excuse to celebrate all of our favourite books and for the children and staff to have some fun dressing up.”
