As the weather starts to turn colder, the early year’s sector is warming up for the next Childcare Expo. The bi-annual show, sponsored by Morton Michel, is returning to Olympia in London on 6 and 7 March 2015 to showcase the latest products and services to early years professionals from across the UK.
Responding to visitor feedback from this year’s events, the seminar programme for the March show has been designed to give early years practitioners more professional development opportunities to help grow their knowledge and develop their skills.
The exhibition welcomes several new speakers to this year’s line-up including Dr Marion Nash who’s language and communication based session will look at the importance of supporting the under 5’s in this area of the EYFS and how this can be achieved in the busyness of day to day living.
Penny Johns, Director of Studies from Montessori Centre International will be exploring how practitioners can develop young children’s creativity in line with the Montessori spirit of ‘following the child’ during her session on Friday afternoon.
James Hempsall, the National Support Director of DfE’s Achieving Two Year Olds programme, is another new face for 2015. James will be reviewing the progress of the programme over the past three years, identify lessons learned and look ahead to what is in store for early learning for the country’s least advantages two year olds in 2015 and beyond.
Childcare Expo will also once again be presenting an interactive feature area designed by resource giant TTS. Visitors can explore this year’s area for ideas on enhancing learning opportunities and raising attainment to ‘Narrow the Gap’ for disadvantaged children.
Entry into Childcare Expo is free and seminar sessions cost just £12 when booked in advance and £15 when booked at the show. Visitor registration will be opening later this year; to receive the latest show updates and to find out as soon as registration opens please email your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org and visit www.childcareexpo.co.uk for more information.
