A dedication to building better lives for children has led to day nursery provider Kiddi Caru and national family support charity Home-Start UK striking up a long-term partnership.
First on the agenda is to continue the success of the charity’s Snowflake Appeal, launched in 2013, with the help of TV presenter Kirstie Allsop, which has proved a success in driving awareness of child protection issues and raised valuable funds.
Inspired to join the mission, Kiddi Caru’s 18 day nurseries will be holding their own Snowflake Days, which will include a number of themed activities, such as fancy dress parties, to help raise the Appeal’s profile even more.
Head of fundraising at Home-Start UK, Sue Thorn, is delighted to have the nursery group on board, saying: “Parents of nursery age children know only too well the pressures that mums and dads face. For some families, hardship or tragedy can multiply those pressures, and they need help to cope. We are very excited about Kiddi Caru’s support for Home-Start as we know that, with their help, we can provide that support to even more children and families.”
Caron Moseley, marketing manager at Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries, comments on why the group has been enticed to join in, saying: “Home-Start has a very clear vision – it wants to see a society in which every parent has the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life. There is a huge amount of affinity between our organisations and we feel that we can really support Home-Start in its ambitions to realise its vision.
“We are very excited about some of the fundraising ideas that we have for the coming year. The Snowflake Appeal is just the start of what will be an ongoing programme of fundraising activities for the charity.”
