There was no sign of Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood, but children at a Stockton day nursery enjoyed their very own version of The Great British Bake Off.
Youngsters at Little Ladybirds recently spent time baking cakes as part of a fundraising event for TFM Radio’s Cash for Kids ‘Big Bake Day’.
At the end of the day, when their parents came to pick them up, the entrepreneurial children invited their mums and dads to buy the cakes they had made. In total, £55 was raised for the Cash for Kids.
Catherine Mason, manager of Little Ladybirds, said: “The children really enjoyed baking and they liked taking money from their parents just as much!
“I think we definitely have some future contestants for The Great British Bake Off on our hands.”
The Cash for Kids campaign helps local sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.
