The Twinkles Nurseries chain has opened its fifth nursery in Yorkshire.
Twinkles White Rose Nursery joins Twinkles Wetherby, Twinkles Boston Spa, Twinkles Leeds City Centre and Twinkles Knaresborough.
The new nursery is registered for 90 children and is a purpose built nursery at White Rose Office Park, Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds. It is hoped that both employees based on the site and parents in the surrounding area of Tingley, Morley and elsewhere will use the nursery.
David Aspin, owner of the White Rose Office Park said that as around 80 per cent of the workforce at the park are parents, “the nursery is providing a vital lifeline”.
He added: “It is said that providing onsite childcare can reduce stress and eliminate worry and because of this an employee's attention is on work and not elsewhere. Having this facility on site can also help in retaining staff, as employees are not forced to look elsewhere for childcare options, and are able to return to work.”
Jill Johnson, who runs the Twinkles Nurseries chain, said: “I am delighted with the new nursery at the White Rose Office Park, which has allowed us to design and build an extremely high quality facility for the children which includes an amazing garden area.
“The building encompasses many exciting features from our other nurseries around Yorkshire which enables safe, secure and fun development for each individual child.”
The new Twinkles nursery is open from 7.30am-6pm, 51 weeks a year and has a large outdoor play area and offers fresh home-cooked meals. The Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Leeds officially opened the nursery and Peppa Pig even put in an appearance.
