They may not be the cuddliest of creatures, but the children at Kiddi Caru’s Harlow day nursery took them to their hearts on Monday when they spent a whole day learning all about bugs!
The day started with a bug hunt around the nursery’s garden, during which the children counted how many different bugs they could find and gently collected some to draw and paint pictures of. They also learned all about the different things bugs do that make them such an important part of the natural world.
Jennie Gregory, Nursery Manager, said: “Our recent garden makeover has resulted in the perfect outdoor area in which the children can explore and learn more about nature, so they found plenty of bugs during their hunt! They were fascinated by the collection of bugs they found and amazed at how much they contribute to nature.”
