Children and staff at the Kiddi Caru International Day Nursery in Earl’s Court are celebrating all things bear hunt to mark the 25th Anniversary of the publication of one of the best-loved children’s books, “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt.”
On Monday July 14th the children will be joining in with a whole host of bear related art activities and on Tuesday 15th they will be reading the book itself. On Wednesday 16th there will be a Teddy Bear’s Picnic, with the children invited to bring along their favourite teddy from home and then on Thursday 17th the pre-school children will be acting out the wonderful “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt” story.
Each child will be donating £1 to help raise funds for the RNIB as part of the Bear Hunt activity week.
Caren Boiling, Nursery Manager, said: “This book is one of the seminal books for children. It is absolutely adored not only by children of all ages but parents and carers too. We are looking forward to a fun week and I am sure that all the children and staff will really enjoyed celebrating this 25th anniversary.”
“The RNIB has been working with the publishers of the book to help raise awareness of the challenges faced by visually impaired children and we have been pleased to be able to help contribute towards raising funds for this charity.”
