As plans come together for this September’s Childcare Expo, the Midlands show promises to deliver an extensive exhibition for those in the early years sector to scout out innovative products and services for their childcare settings.
Beyond the exhibits, visitors can also expect an educational seminar and workshop programme giving updates and the latest ideas from the sector. Event Director Emma Barrett is “very pleased that some of the top names within the industry are involved with this year’s programme. We are particularly excited to welcome early years consultants Helen Moylett and Alistair Bryce-Clegg as two new speakers to this year’s event.”
Alistair’s Friday seminar will be focusing on ‘Getting to grips with continuous provision’ and look at how selecting the right resources can help meet the development needs of specific children. Helen’s seminar will take place on the Saturday and will explore key aspects of the EYF’s characteristics of effective early learning and their implications for practice.
Fiona Bland from the NDNA will also be taking part in the Coventry exhibition on Friday 26th September leading a seminar that is packed with vital information on how to ensure you make the most of your Ofsted inspection. On the Saturday, early years consultant, trainer and author Kathryn Solly will present her session ‘Lighting fires, building dams and flying kites - enabling risk, challenge and adventure in the early years’.
The full seminar and workshop programme will be published shortly on www.childcareexpo.co.uk where you can also find an up to date list of the shows exhibitors. Childcare Expo Midlands will be taking place on 26 & 27 September 2014 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The exhibition is free to attend with seminar sessions costing just £10.80 when booked in advance and £15 when booked at the show. Visitor registration will be opening later this summer; to receive the latest show updates and to find out as soon as registration opens please email your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
