Busy Bees nurseries, the biggest nursery chain in Britain, is continuing to expand with a new nursery in Reading.
Cartoon characters, Ben and Holly from the Nickelodean show, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, will be meeting children and parents at the official opening of the nursery on Saturday.
The event at the nursery on Reading International Business Park, Basingstoke Road, will be held between 10am and 3pm and there will be plenty of activities on for children and parents to try.
Nursery manager Michelle Thatcher said: “We really hope to get lots of visitors along on the day to see what all the buzz is about for our grand opening. As this nursery is a new build, everything has been designed specifically with the child, and their learning and fun in mind. We are all so proud of the nursery and can’t wait to open.
“Having Ben and Holly here too is also sure to get the children excited as they will be meeting some of their favourite television stars, along with our very own mascot Busy Bee. There will be plenty more for them to do. The staff will also be on hand to answer any questions from the parents.”
A baby massage class will be held at 11am, and there will be various craft activities for children to get creative in throughout the day – including the chance for them to help build the centre’s giant bee.
Nursery chef, June Ewen, will also be on hand to showcase Busy Bees’ seasonal menu of tasty, healthy snacks and meals. Busy Bees has just been awarded the prestigious ‘Silver’ mark from the Soil Association which is a rubber stamp guarantee that all meals are freshly prepared by a well-trained nursery chef and contain quality fresh ingredients sourced in the UK, guaranteeing environmentally friendly, local and healthy food.
The nursery is registered for 93 children and it has a baby suite with a nautical theme, a toddler suite with a spring theme and a pre-school suite with a transport theme.
