Children and staff at a local nursery were delighted to receive a letter of thanks from Kensington Palace on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Crofton Day Nursery, which is part of the nationwide nursery chain Asquith, went all out in celebration of the birth of Prince George. The children enjoyed drawing pictures, making cards and dressing up as princes and princesses for the day.
Researching the Royal Family proved to be very exciting for the children, and they were very much looking forward to the arrival of the newest member of the family. The nursery’s assistant manager, Hayley Gomm, and the supervisor of the pre-school children, Carrie Bishop, encouraged the children to write a letter to send with all their artwork to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
On the royal celebrations, Hayley and Carrie commented: “The children were very excited about the birth of Prince George and were eager to make him a card and write him a letter. When the children were informed that we had received a response from Kensington Palace, they were really proud and excitedly told their parents.”
All the staff at the nursery are passionate about supporting children as they follow their own interests and develop their understanding of the world around them.
The nursery also boasts state-of-the-art facilities including an interactive whiteboard and a touch-screen computer, providing children with the perfect opportunity to explore and discover.
