If you are a professional and working parent in Hounslow you don’t need to worry about the day care of your young ones. A brand new day nursery in Hounslow is now able to share some of your parental responsibilities.
Little Cherubs Day Nursery in Hounslow, inaugurated in January this year by Hounslow Deputy Mayor Mindu Bains, is quickly building a reputation of providing high-quality care for children aged from three months.
The nursery provides a stimulating and inspirational environment for up to 105 children to learn and reach their full individual potential.
Managing Director and Proprietor Harpreet Sawhney says: “We are committed to providing children with safe, stimulating and secure day care that gives parents peace of mind with the knowledge that their children are safe.
“We are within the family of a Little Cherubs Day Nursery Franchise that is a vibrant nursery offering day care for children from three months to five years.
“The nursery employs a team of experienced staff dedicated to ensuring that your children find their time with us stimulating, enjoyable and fun.”
The nursery offers government-funded free places for three and four year olds. It also accepts children in pull-ups and nappies as it believes that supporting parents to toilet train their children is part of its role.
“Every child has a dedicated key worker who will work closely with you and who is mainly responsible for their learning and well-being,” Harpreet assures. The nursery is also the dream of joint-proprietor and director Ravneet Sawhney, who started the daycare nursery after intense support and training from Little Cherubs Franchise. She is determined to make the nursery a special place for all children.
“We are driven to provide high quality childcare,” says Ravneet. “All our little ones deserve the best start in life and that’s what we are trying to provide.
“We researched and recognised a need for childcare in the Heston area. And that is how Little Cherubs Nursery, Hounslow came about.” Hounslow Deputy Mayor Bains adds: “It was my idea and dream to open up a day nursery on this site 20 years ago when I lived on the same road …LCH is already realising that dream.”
Ravneet brings to the nursery her own experience of motherhood and her background in banking and customer service. She is assisted in her endeavour by a team of full time staff, equally keen to make the nursery the best around.
Zafira Rahman, the nursery manager, joined LCH in January. She comes with strong leadership skills and a wealth of experience of running an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery.
Edmund Roberts, the nursery cook, by his own admittance 'loves cooking for children’. He says: “I come with plenty of experience of working with several nurseries.
“I also have solid knowledge of healthy eating and how to involve parents and children to make it fun.” Ravneet says: “Our freshly cooked nutritious meals and all our learning is overseen by a qualified early years’ specialist teacher. Indeed, our staff encourages children to actively learn through play, which includes making positive relationships and having fun. This activity ensures they are ready for school, the next step of their learning.”
“We also place a lot of emphasis on inspiring, imaginative, creative activities,” she adds. “All our activities are developed from children’s interest so that they can joyfully participate.”
The nursery prides on being a secure place for its children and staff. “Security is taken very seriously at LCH and is given absolutely priority,” asserts Harpreet. “We have a secure fob entry system for parents and parental webcams.
“In addition to this, our amazing staff go out of their way to ensure a the nursery remains a secure, safe and loving environment, which enables children to have a truly great early childhood experience.”
LCH is a registered day care nursery and can accommodate a fairly large number of children on its spacious premises. However, to maintain its homely feel, it keeps groups to around 30 but is flexible enough to adjust according to the children’s needs.
The centre is open from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday with onsite parking and a large garden for children available. It however does not operate out of the designated hours as it is only registered for that time frame.
“In the future LCH may be able to offer other services, such as babysitting or organising birthday parties to support families,” says Harpreet.
Looking ahead, the LCH proprietor believes his nursery will continue to build on its ethos and growth plans. "We are at an exciting growth stage as we are newly established,” he says. “Nevertheless, in this short period of time we believe we have been able to serve the local community with great dedication and in return earned the admiration of our patrons.” ?
