Staff and children at a Walsall nursery celebrated their newly refurbished building with a party.
The former Early Birds Nursery, in Lichfield Road, which has relaunched as the Co-operative Childcare, has had an £187,000 make over, including new play and educational equipment.
Mayor of Walsall Councillor Dennis Anson visited the nursery to join in with the celebrations and cut the ribbon. Becky Legg, from Jo Jingles, entertained the children with songs and stories. There was also a cake to mark the occasion.
Nursery manager Debbie Pritchard said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed our relaunch celebrations.
"We are delighted with the improvements made to our facilities, which include an extension of our back garden to give us more space for outdoor learning and play.
"The changes better reflect the high quality of early years education and childcare we provide.
"We were judged as 'outstanding' in our latest Ofsted inspection and this investment underlines our commitment to maintaining those high standards."
