A Swindon-based nursery is celebrating after achieving the sought-after Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ result.
Ridgeway Day Nursery, part of the Asquith family, is set in the grounds of Wroughton Junior School and has beautiful surrounding countryside – it comes as no surprise that the nursery, which boasts state-of-the-art educational facilities, has been awarded the highest Ofsted grading.
The inspector deemed the leadership and management of the setting as “inspirational” and commented that staff hold “outstanding skills that promote children’s learning”. The happiness and exceptional behaviour of the children was also noted in the inspector’s report.
Teaching children about the world around them and building on their experiences is important to the nursery’s staff, who recently helped raise awareness and funds for World Down Syndrome Day in March.
The unique nursery team strives for the very best in children’s education and all round well-being, and nursery manager Becky Webster has been the driving force behind this momentous achievement.
Commenting on the nursery’s milestone, Becky says: “It’s fantastic to see the staff’s hard work and enthusiasm has been rewarded, and we are all so proud to have been recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.”
