The Co-operative Childcare is to open a flagship nursery in north London.
The new 83-place nursery in Bounds Green, which will open in September, will replace an existing facility in Palmers Green. All staff and children from Palmers Green will be transferred to the new development, which will have a dedicated baby unit and a large outdoor learning area for children over the age of two. It will also have a sensory room.
Mike Abbott, group general manager at Co-operative Childcare, said: “We are very excited about the new nursery which will be bigger and enable us to offer more facilities in bright and airy rooms. Conversion work is underway on the Victorian building to prepare for the opening in September.
“We were keen to offer the same high standard of childcare to local families in an improved setting and also remain convenient for our existing parents. There is demand for a caring and professionally delivered childcare service and we are already taking down names for the new nursery.”
The Co-operative Childcare is part of the Midcounties Co-operative, which is a leading national ethical childcare provider, delivering early years care and learning in a safe and stimulating environment.
