A new 24-hour nursery has opened in Surrey offering day and overnight care.
Russell Hill Road Day Nursery in Purley, is registered for 56 children from birth to five in the day, and 12 children overnight.
The overnight care is being used by a whole range of parents including single parents, shift workers, lawyers and bankers.
The nursery is open seven days a week and charges £53.52 to care for children from 7pm-7am. This includes a meal in the evening and morning.
Owner Natalie Salawa said: "We are pioneering a new 24-hour nursery which aims to provide quality day and overnight care for children of working parents who require this service.
"These facilities can be used as and when parents need the use of either of these services. We do expect demand to be high so we recommend booking in advance.
"The nursery exists to provide care and education for babies and children from six months to five years. Our philosophy is that all children should have the best possible start enabling them to reach their full potential, through a happy mixture of play and structured learning experiences."
The children who stay overnight sleep in rooms away from the main play areas and are grouped according to their age.
Each sleeping room has a baby monitor.
Staff who work overnight are paid a higher wage.
