Two Just Learning nurseries in Norwich have been recognised by Norwich City Council for their outstanding food hygiene standards.
The nurseries, based on Broadlands Business Park and St Andrews Business Park, have been awarded the highest score of five stars after a rigorous inspection of food hygiene standards.
To gain the maximum rating, the nurseries had to have outstanding procedures and practices relating to facilities and cleaning, control systems, training, structural layouts and the quality of management.
The nurseries demonstrated a ‘high standard of compliance with statutory obligations and industry codes of recommended practice’ as well as conforming ‘to accepted good practices in the trade’.
Gemma Fowler, Nursery Manager of Norwich Thorpe, said: “It is really important to get hygiene and food safety right. All the nursery staff work hard to maintain every safety procedure within the nursery to the highest possible standard.” Emma Brown, Nursery Manager of Norwich Meridian, said: “Gaining the highest Food Hygiene mark reflects the nursery’s on-going focus on best practice.”
Both nurseries will be displaying their fantastic 5 star Award in a prominent place within the nursery.
Just Learning Norwich Meridian, is situated on the Broadlands Business Park, minutes away from the A47 and Just Learning Norwich Thorpe, is located in the Northside, St Andrews Business Park, Thorpe St Andrew.
