Jackie, who started her role last earlier this month, has an extensive background in childcare having worked within a management team at another nursery in Oxfordshire for over eight years.

Faringdon was the first Old Station Nursery to open in 2002, in a converted railway station building. Since then the company has gone on to open 12 more settings across the UK.

“I am really enjoying it so far it is great fun,” said Jackie. “I am glad to be given this opportunity as I was ready to take on a new challenge that enabled me to continue to enjoy working with children.

“It’s a great chance to work with such an exciting team and I am looking forward to pursuing my career here.”

Sarah Steel, Managing Director of The Old Station Nursery, commented: “‘I am really delighted to welcome Jackie to our Faringdon nursery.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for us to breathe renewed energy into the whole team and I’m sure all our children and parents will enjoy the positive changes that Jackie will be making, whilst building on the really sound traditions which our very first nursery enjoys.”

The Old Station Nursery in Faringdon is registered for 60 children. Jackie and her team will work closely with the children and their parents to offer a ‘home from home’ environment to ensure children feel safe, happy and stimulated.
