The Nursery Show, which is being held in Bournemouth in April, has announced its EYFS professionals seminar programme.
Richard Joslin, the event managing director, said: ‘The seminar programme is a key element for the re-launch of this year’s Nursery Show with a fantastic range of speakers and sessions designed to attract early years senior decision makers and buyers.'
'Topics will cover policy in practice, nutrition, ICT, synthetic phonics and literacy, outdoor play, best practice, parental engagement, professional development, employment law and more.’
Highlights of the first day will include Chris Barnham, deputy director of Early Years Quality and Standards from the Department for Education talking about the Tickell Review and the revised EYFS framework.
While Dee Gasson, principal officer for childcare registration and enforcement for Ofsted will discuss regulation of early years childcare providers.
The role of IT in nurseries is growing and on the second day of the show, Lambeth City Learning Centre will look at the creative use of new technologies in early years settings.
