The early years’ charity, 4Children, has launched a new section on its Foundation Years website to support practitioners in implementing the revised Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).
The countdown button will take practitioners to an interactive website where they can find the new and revised guidance as well as links to helpful resources.
Sue Robb, head of Early Years at 4Children, said: ‘In the spring, the government will publish its new vision for children up to age 5 – the new Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.'
'This comprehensive statutory framework will set the standards for the learning, development and care of all young children and its publication will be a key event for all those supporting the learning and development of our children in the foundation years.’
She added: ‘In the weeks running up to the publication, we want to alert early years practitioners to where they will find all the information and resources they need to get ready for the new framework which is expected in the spring so they can start thinking through changes from day one.'
4Children’s chief executive, Anne Longfield, said: 'We want everyone in the Early Years sector to be ready for the new EYFS framework as soon as possible after its publication.'
'With less than six months between its publication and its implementation in September, we know it is crucial that everyone working in childcare settings knows where to find all the relevant information from day one.’
The new EYFS Framework will be live on www.foundationyears.org.uk in the spring.
