Leading cleaning products supplier, Sheffield’s Gems Hygiene, is extending its support to The Children’s Hospital Charity by re-electing them as the company’s annual charity in 2012.
Staff at Gems found the charity to be one they could relate to and were keen to continue to support the charity. Gems is hoping to be able to build on its current fundraising activities in 2012 and improve on the substantial amount that was raised in 2011.
Fundraising activities for the year will include a range of sporting efforts, social events and the regular dress down days and in house charity tuck shop.
Dave Campbell, Gems’ managing director, said: “Gems’ staff enjoyed raising money last year for this local charity and have elected to continue supporting it in 2012. Everyone at Gems really got behind the charity last year, helping us to raise a good sum of money. This year we are hoping that we can better our efforts and increase the end of year total for the charity.’
Cheryl Ridge, a fundraiser at The Children’s Hospital Charity, added: “We are delighted to hear that Gems have chosen to support our charity for the second year running and excited to see if they can beat their 2011 total. The charity relies on the support of local companies, so we are grateful for Gems’ support, which we hope will grow into a long-standing relationship.’
Gems Hygiene operates from a purpose-built distribution centre in Sheffield, supplying customers across the UK with a wide range of specialist cleaning and maintenance products. The firm attributes its 25 year success to the consistency and reliability of its customer care, along with ongoing investment in its infrastructure.
